EXPERIENCE

IT Supervisor                                 December 2006 – Present
Asia Consultancy Group, Kabul, Afghanistan

Manage, supervise and assign tasks for the IT Support team, VSAT team, NOC team and including team management of the remote province and areas
Providing high level technical support for the main and regional offices including troubleshooting, maintenance and preventive maintenance work supervision
Site survey, site visit, progress check and task quality control in Kabul and remote areas for the IT projects
Project management, preparation, planning and work deployment that leads then to project hand-over and final task’s completion
Handling IT Administration tasks as well, installing servers including operating systems and configurations, troubleshooting and maintenance of the servers
Operate and maintain Exchange Mail Server, creating email, resting or creating new password domain policies, creating main Spam rules, building trusted/ untrusted domain list
Manage and configure the main Gateway firewall for the main gate to the Local Area Network (LAN), defining firewall rules and policy for the a secure internal network, closing unnecessary ports and protocols services via the firewall
Bandwidth management and designing load balancer for each individual clients, QoS policy definition and protocol priorities assignment
Building a Central Network Monitoring system with alert via SMS, E-mail, Phone and Sound alarms
Designing a Trouble Ticking system to record all the troubles we notice for the future analysis and troubleshooting
Organizing and leading a preventive maintenance team to properly visit the site for the preventing the future troubles, following a specific schedule and check mark form system to perform better
Building and managing an Inventory system that could keep track of all the assets in the company, their license expiration and information system, the asset manufacturer information like serial and model numbers, their current location and price including annual deduction cost


IT Support Engineer                                                                  September 2004 – December 2006

Installing and configuring the Software as recommended by company’s policy.
Setting up the system as company’s network policy, joining the system to company’s domain, installing and configuring the Client/Server version of Antivirus to system ready to connect to the network.
Configuring the E-mail setting and giving the facility of Send/Receive of e-mail with all other E-mail server both with Internet and Intranet.
Sharing, printing, and using the share resource through complete network.
Handling and troubleshooting many different networks and providing IT technical support to all users in the office.
Configuring, troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server settings in all client computers to the e-mail access.
Configuring, troubleshooting and fixing the error of company’s wireless network and wireless access points and routers.
Providing IT support and services for more than 220 computers in office also covering the IT Departments Awareness Program for all users.
Sharing resource in more than one network so that the other network also be able to get access to our network with setting up the exact permissions.
Setting up NTFS permissions to the shared resource so that only specific users can access the shared data only.
Using remote access software for troubleshooting, configurations and other user’s need as they are away from office and providing live support from anywhere.
Weekly checkup of all computers for antivirus update, data backup, windows clean up, and some other issues.
Monitoring all computers in the main and sub-offices from the main office for virus status, usage of the bandwidth of all or an exact PC, cleaning of any other malware.
Checking all system for suspected software, viruses, spywares, worms and trojans and giving a permanent solution.
Assisting System Administrator in shift time in the support or any administration task.
Any other task assigned by Manager or Supervisor of the IT Helpdesk
